We build the
machine behind
the website.

A website is the front door. The work that actually gives a business its time back sits behind it: automations that do the admin, portals your clients and your team log into, logins and data handling built to stand up to scrutiny, and design that holds the whole thing together. This is that side of the studio.

Additional services.
A different skill set.

None of this is part of a website build, and it is not priced like one. The work goes deeper: data, security, integrations and systems that people log into and depend on. It takes longer, it carries more responsibility, and it costs more than a site. That is the honest version, and it is why every piece of it is scoped and quoted on its own rather than picked off a price list.

Scoped before it is priced

We write down what gets built, what it connects to, who can see what and what happens when something fails. You read that and approve it before a number is attached to it.

Quoted per project

One fixed price against the agreed scope, paid in stages. Where a job genuinely cannot be fixed in advance we say so and agree a rate instead. Either way you know the number before we start.

Built to be handed over

Documented, in your accounts where it matters, with the keys in your hands. Keep us on for support if it helps, or take the lot and run it yourself.

What else
we weave.

Six strands of work that sit alongside the websites. Most clients take one or two, usually after the site is live and they can see where the time is going.

01

AI automations and workflows

The repetitive parts of a business are the parts nobody enjoys and everybody gets wrong when they are busy. We map the process first, then build the workflow that runs it: enquiries that sort and route themselves, documents read and checked, information moved between tools without anyone retyping it, drafts written and queued for a person to approve, reports that arrive without someone having to make them. You keep the judgement. The machine takes the admin.

02

Client portals

A place your clients log into instead of emailing you for everything. They upload what you asked for, see exactly where things stand, find their documents without a phone call, and get told when something changes. Branded like your business rather than a third-party tool with your logo dropped in the corner, and built so the person using it does not need to be shown how.

03

Internal portals and dashboards

The same idea pointed inwards. One place your team works from: cases, jobs, bookings, stock, clients, whatever the business actually runs on, with roles that decide who sees what and numbers that keep themselves up to date. It replaces the spreadsheet everyone is frightened to touch and the four tabs nobody can keep in sync.

04

Secure logins and compliance-ready builds

Authentication done properly: passwords stored the way they should be, two-factor and two-step verification, passkeys where they make sense, sessions that expire, and access you can revoke the day somebody leaves. Around it, the data handling regulation expects, built in rather than bolted on: lawful basis and consent captured, encryption in transit and at rest, retention and deletion you control, and a record of who did what and when. If your industry answers to a specific framework, tell us at the scoping stage and we build to it.

Graphic design

Not everything a business needs is a web page. Logos and brand marks, guidelines that stop the brand drifting, social templates, decks, brochures, menus, signage, packaging, document and letterhead templates: the pieces that have to look like they belong to the same business as the website. If you already have a brand we work inside it. If you do not, we build one you can hand to anybody.

AI video and AI imagery, through our partners

Some of this we do not do in house, and we would rather say so than pretend. For generated video, AI presenters and voice, AI-created models for product and campaign imagery, and models trained on your own material, we have people we trust and we bring them in. We write the brief, manage the work and keep the output on brand, so you are dealing with one supplier rather than five.

If it has an API,
we can wire it in.

Almost none of this work happens in isolation. The value shows up when the tools you already pay for start talking to each other, so the same piece of information is entered once and then turns up everywhere it is needed.

Where a system has no API we look for a webhook, an export, or a sensible way in, and if there genuinely is not one we will tell you that early rather than bill you to find out. Nothing gets connected without you knowing exactly what data moves where.

What it looks
like in practice.

The shapes this work usually takes. Yours will not be identical, because it depends on how your business actually runs, which is exactly what the scoping conversation is for.

An enquiry that fills in its own paperwork

Someone sends a form. It arrives already sorted by type and urgency, with the record created, the client written in, the acknowledgement sent and the right person told, before anybody has opened a laptop.

Documents that check themselves

Files are uploaded, read, named properly and filed, with anything missing or unreadable flagged back to the sender automatically. The chasing that used to eat an afternoon a week happens on its own.

A portal instead of an inbox

Clients stop asking where things are because they can see it. Every document, status and message lives in one place they can log into, which is also the end of sending sensitive files around as email attachments.

A dashboard nobody has to build

The numbers you check on a Monday, live, in one screen, pulled from the tools that already hold them. No exports, no copy and paste, no arguing about whose spreadsheet is right.

Drafts waiting for a human

Replies, summaries, quotes and reports written ahead of time and held for approval. You read, adjust and send. Nothing goes out without a person deciding it should.

One brand across everything

Site, portal, documents, decks and social all made from the same set of rules, so the business looks like one business whichever door a customer comes through.

We describe capability here rather than naming clients, because most of this work sits behind a login and inside somebody else's business. Ask us in the scoping conversation and we will walk you through what we have built, in detail, with the permission of the people we built it for.

Built to be trusted
with real data.

The moment a system holds client information, it stops being a website and starts being a responsibility. These are handled as standard on anything with a login, not offered as an upgrade.

Access control

Roles decide what each person can see and do. Access is granted deliberately and can be revoked immediately, including for staff who leave.

Two-factor and 2-step

Authentication app, email or SMS codes, or passkeys where the devices support them. Enforced for admin accounts as standard.

Encryption

Encrypted in transit and at rest. Passwords hashed, never stored or recoverable in readable form, by us or by anyone.

Lawful basis and consent

What you collect, why, and what the person agreed to, captured at the point it happens and kept as evidence rather than assumed.

Retention and deletion

Data that ages out on the schedule you set, and a real delete when somebody asks for one, including from backups within a stated window.

Audit trail

Who logged in, who changed what, who downloaded which file, and when. Dull until the day you need it, and then the only thing that matters.

Backups and recovery

Automatic backups, tested restores, and a written answer to what happens when something breaks at the worst possible moment.

Where data lives

Hosting chosen so your data sits in the region your obligations require, with the processors named for your privacy policy.

We build to the standard and document what we have done, which is the part most suppliers skip. What we do not do is sign off your policies or act as your data protection officer: those stay with you and, where it matters, your legal advisers. Our job is to make sure the system supports your obligations instead of quietly working against them.

How this
gets priced.

Four steps, no mystery, and nothing starts until you have seen the scope and the number.

Step 01

Conversation

You tell us what is eating the time, or what you want people to be able to do. A message or a proper talk through it, whichever suits. No charge and no obligation.

Step 02

Scope

We write down exactly what gets built, what it connects to, who can see what, and what happens when something goes wrong. You approve it before it is priced.

Step 03

Quote

One fixed price against that scope, in stages, with anything outside it quoted separately before it starts. You know the number and the timeline before we begin.

Step 04

Build and hand over

Built, tested, documented and handed across with the keys. Support afterwards if you want it, or take the whole thing and run it yourself.

We do not publish prices for this work, because no two of these jobs are the same and a number on a page would be a guess. What we will tell you in the first conversation is whether yours is a small piece of work or a serious one, so nobody spends a month finding that out the expensive way.
